CNC Machinist/Programmer

Job Description
Primary Job Functions:

Set up, program and machine parts on Vertical mills, horizontal mills, lathe and live tooling lathes
Assist R&D with program changes and updates as needed
Provides input to engineering/operations for program optimization and tooling requirements
Maintain high quality standards, inspect, troubleshoot and apply corrective action
Clean equipment and work area on a daily basis, perform minor and preventative maintenance
Ability to effectively use hand tools and equipment
Complete all required paperwork for jobs and time sheets
Attention to detail, contribute to a safe working environment
Must be able to interpret drawings, follow job routings, and perform basic math calculations
Perform all other duties as assigned and demonstrate flexibility with changing work flows
Skills/Education:

Four year degree or equivalent work experience
Four years combined experience in machining and CAM programming
CNC experience required including troubleshooting, problem solving, and optimization
CAM programming experience required, Solidworks or other CAD/CAM systems
Physical Requirements
Must be able to lift, push, pull large objects 50 pounds or heavier, must be able to stand for extended periods of time

Work Schedule
Shift is 4-10 hour days, either Monday-Thursday or Tuesday-Friday, depending on company needs. Shift is open to change without notice. Mandatory overtime may be required based on company needs. Flexibility or reduced work hours may be offered to students enrolled in a formal training program.
