CNC Programmer (Engineer)

Job Description
The Engineer will produce the engineering required to quote and produce the component parts manufactured within the Dallas manufacturing operation while establishing and maintaining core LW priorities. This position also has a key role in determining the manufacturing flow and machine program cycle times used in quoting and scheduling. In addition, the Engineer will work closely with the CSR, scheduling, purchasing and the management team.

Essential Functions:

Responsible for identifying the most efficient process to produce the component parts requested by customers.
Using AutoCAD and CNC machine software, create or modify drawings to manufacture parts to customers specifications.
Follow and manage defined systems and processes by implementing and following the standard operating procedures (SOP’s) for the Dallas operation. This includes making recommendations for modifications or new SOP’s as necessary.
Confirm information is correctly in the parts list and optimize to determine materials and machining required.
Identify materials required and communicate to CSR.
Work closely with Manufacturing Manager and Production Supervisors to gain feedback on best practices for manufacturing flow.
Work closely with Machining Supervisor to ensure machines are programed correctly and the proper tooling is available and used.
Work closely with other team members ship to communicate timely information that could affect customer requests and promise dates.
Protects the Dallas manufacturing operation by keeping key customer and vendor information, programs, and pricing confidential.
Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

Required experience:

AutoCAD, CNC Programming, and Engineering: 4 years
