This position is responsible for the development and execution of new package / product designs and technologies for Amcor Rigid Plastics. Will be responsible to ensure the customers products meet all cost, reliability, schedule, and performance requirements. Manages multiple projects, gathers internal and external customer requirements, designs and evaluates prototypes, and launches production. Provides technical direction and leadership to the rest of the team. Recognized as a technical expert across a product line.
Responsible for reporting project feasibility (scope, budget, timeline, resources, etc.).
Originate and track timelines related to development projects.
Establish performance specifications and tolerance for new products.
Negotiates cost delivery and technical / design feasibility with external customers
Direct new design activities.
Direct lab activities.
Coordinate corrective action plans, including design reviews, process improvements, and quality systems.
Assist manufacturing facilities with start-up and validation of new products involving multi-platforms/multi-facilities.
Act as the lead technical liaison across various account assignments.
Prescribe the use of appropriate tools.
Create and maintain project budgets.
Ensure projects are completed on time and within budget and all deliverable deadlines are met.
Deals with both internal and external customers, with a focus on building relationships with external customers and broadening internal customers (e.g. operations, sales, etc.).

Education and Experience
Engineer II: Bachelor's degree in Engineering and minimum 4 (four) years relevant experience in engineering / design principles and relevant systems required.
Sr. Engineer: Bachelor's degree in Engineering and minimum 6 (six) years relevant experience in engineering / design principles and relevant systems required.
