Field Service Engineer - 3D Printer Support

Job Description
PADT is currently seeking a full-time Field Service Engineer for our Sales & Support group. The Field Service Engineer is responsible for responding to and resolving customer requests for technical assistance and installation of 3D printers, related equipment and software. Responsibilities include; installation, setup, maintenance, repair and training to eliminate future operational or service difficulties by performing the following duties:
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Respond to customer inquiries for installation or repair in a timely manner.
Install new or modified equipment at customer's facility to ensure full functionality according to specifications.
Review performance reports and documentation from customers and field representatives, and inspects malfunctioning or damaged product to determine nature and scope of problem.
Provide on-site technical assistance to help troubleshoot and repair equipment.
Maintain records of performance reports.
Provide a communication link between the customer and the company to help ensure that effective service is provided to the customer.
Develop and conduct training on the safe operations of the equipment and demonstrate skills to trainees, including both team members and customers.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree (B. S.) from a four-year College or university; or one to two years' related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry.
Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables.
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Knowledge and expertise in the use of Word Processing software; Inventory software; Internet software; Database software and Contact Management systems.
Must be able to frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms. Must be able to sit; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
Prior experience in the installation, maintenance and repair of 3D printers or similar machinery preferred but not required. PADT will train the right candidate for success in this position.
