|The Field Service Engineer (Rotating Equipment) is responsible for the execution of field engineering activities. Including, reciprocating, steam turbine & turbo compressor performance testing, vibration analysis, rotor-dynamic analysis, root cause analysis, reliability centered maintenance studies, control system analysis, instrumentation and electrical troubleshooting.
Position Qualifications (Required and Preferred):
•Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or related field
•Experience working in the field with rotating equipment (turbo compressors or steam turbines) and/or reciprocating equipment.
•Ability to travel up to 80% domestic and international in to fulfill the responsibilities of this position.
•Ability to work on offshore platforms in harsh environments
•Ability to be transported by boat or helicopter over open water.
•Experience in execution of engineering activities in responsibilities below.
Position Responsibilities and Duties:
•Ensure that customer installs, commissions, operates and maintains Dresser-Rand supplied equipment in accordance with OEM specifications.
•Provide technical assistance and consultation to customer's installation, operations and maintenance personnel.
•Maintain comprehensive customer activity reports for customer daily inspection.
•Provide detailed site reports, highlighting actions needed by other Dresser-Rand departments.
•Provide Action Requests for Field Service Managers and manufacturing plant field engineering groups.
•Develop equipment installation, maintenance and overhaul schedules with customer input.
•Observe on-site health and safety at work procedures (set by Clients and Dresser-Rand).
•The willingness and ability to travel up to 80% of the time both domestic and international in order to fulfill the responsibilities of this position the willingness and ability to work on offshore platforms in harsh environments.
•The willingness and ability to be transported by boat or helicopter over open water.
