The Commercial Product Manager will be responsible for American Standard Trade brands commercial fixtures product strategy, development and implementation. This role is responsible for leading product planning and execution throughout the product lifecycle, including: gathering / prioritizing product and customer requirements, defining the product vision, and working closely with engineering, sales, marketing, finance to ensure revenue and customer satisfaction goals are met. The successful candidate will be accountable for developing, prioritizing, and translating business requirements for the product lines that impact annual sales, market share goals and business profitability.



RESPONSIBILITIES:

Product Strategy / New Product Development

Define the product strategy and roadmap that maximizes profitability
Deliver Marketing / Product specifications with prioritized features and corresponding justification
Work closely with the cross-functional product development team to deliver new product introductions on-time and within budget
Be an expert with respect to the competition. Develop the core positioning and messaging for the product Product Line Management
Optimize the ongoing product line for maximum growth, profitability and quality
Track assigned product key metrics vs. business plans on a monthly basis and develop recommended actions to insure sales and marketing objectives are met
Set pricing to meet revenue and profitability goals
Participate in monthly forecasting, supply / demand meetings to ensure timely product delivery / availability
Manage SKU rationalization for all categories Program Development / Market / Sales support
Strengthen American Standard Brand's responsiveness to the customer's product and promotional needs
Work with trade sales team to identify product sales training & promotional support needs, coordinate development and provide training to internal and external customers
Measure market share and review research data to assist sales team in effective positioning of products in the marketplace
Coordinate the development and timely delivery of new product announcements including promotional offers, incentives and other marketing materials
Work with Marketing Communications Team to develop the marketing strategy for assigned products including literature, price catalogs and sales plans

QUALIFICATIONS:


BS degree in Marketing, Business or Engineering or related degree
Minimum 3 - 5 years experience in product management and marketing
Experience within a consumer durables or related industry experience preferred
Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills. Along with excellent presentations skills
Proactively anticipate problems and act quickly. Flexible in meeting ever changing business needs
Strong analytical skills
Strong planning, organization, project management, and time management skills. Ability to manage multiple projects, multi-task, and meet deadlines.
Proficient in MS Office PowerPoint, Excel, Word.
Some travel required
