Operations Leader

Job Description
The Operations Leader is responsible for actively driving and managing all aspects of our manufacturing operation including day-to-day work scheduling and material management as well as longer-term process development and improvement. The Operations Leader must have strong organizational, communication and management skills and a desire for a big scope job opportunity with progressive career advancement potential.

Ideal candidates must be:

Self-motivated with a proven track record in low-volume, high-mix manufacturing (industrial equipment experience a plus).
Experienced with managing vendors, inventory levels and material flow on the shop floor.
Experienced with managing assembly technicians.
Experienced with the principles of 5S, Lean, and continuous improvement.
Comfortable in the dynamic atmosphere of a technical organization with rapidly growing sales.
Organized and analytical.
Able to overcome obstacles through creative and adaptive approaches.
Responsibilities:

Manufacturing schedule development and management.
Daily and weekly manufacturing technician work planning and supervision.
Material planning to support the manufacturing schedule.
Managing existing vendors and identifying and developing new vendors.
Managing and improving the inventory management system.
Continuous improvement of overall manufacturing process and workflow.
