Advanced Liquid Logic was founded in 2004 by Dr. Michael Pollack and Dr. Vamsee Pamula as a technology spinout from Duke University’s Pratt School of
Engineering, following several years of technology development within Duke’s electrical engineering labs. In 2005 the Company hired CEO, Rich West and key
scientists. The Company has developed significantly since then by licensing the core patents from Duke University, winning grants, initiating academic and commercial collaborations, securing financing, filing additional patent applications and building an excellent team.
The Company is currently developing several products for use in a number of markets such as clinical diagnostic laboratories, field-based molecular testing and
life science research. The Company’s core missions are to provide cost-effective automation solutions to complex molecular assay workflows and to improve the accessibility of state-of-the-art testing outside of centralized laboratory facilities.
