Lex is a fast growing, industry leading and award winning manufacturer of electrical power distribution and control systems serving the Entertainment, Industrial and Military markets. We are currently looking for an experienced Product Manager for our Stamford Connecticut office.
The Product Manager is the champion and product expert for the products assigned to them. They are responsible for the sales and profit of those products. Their efforts begin with the identification of a customer need for a product, driving it through development, launch and production.
They continue to be responsible for their products throughout the productís life, ensuring that they remain correct, relevant, and profitable and that they continue to meet the companyís strategic objectives relating to profit and volume. They are similarly responsible for creating all supporting materials relating to their products, including data sheets, manuals, print ads and the website. They ensure that those supporting materials remain correct and up to date throughout the productís life.
Identify new product opportunities, through interaction with both the Sales department and direct meetings with customers
Determine market requirements in order to create new product proposals and specifications
Champion products through the product development cycle, ensuring that to the extent possible, development projects are kept on time and on/under budget
Establish new product pricing to meet volume and margin objectives
Use cost/benefit analysis to control feature creep
With other members of the Marketing team, create all elements the product launch packages including sales guides, sales samples, data sheets, ad campaigns, and trade show activities
Technical writing including the creation of the product user manual and installation guide
Coordinate with Engineering to ensure the necessary product supporting documents are created (e.g. submittal drawings)

Degree in Marketing or three years marketing experience of electrical products related to the Entertainment, Industrial, or Military markets.
Experience with business to business marketing Basic Electrical knowledge
