Description/Job Summary
The Product Manager is responsible for the development and execution of brand and product line strategies for their lines to include product marketing, pricing, new product introductions, market research, product life cycle and forecasting merchandising, advertising, and trade events. This position also partners with other internal departments in the design, development and testing of new products key account presentations, and apprentice programs

Responsibilities/Duties
Develop and drive brand, product and line strategy.
Develop and recommend product sales objectives, including sales volume and profit forecasts.
Set and maintain product pricing on assigned products. Develop pricing criteria for new product ideas to achieve planned market position and gross margin targets.
Evaluate ideas and suggestions for new products, investigate market opportunities and effect on market for present products, and recommend exploitation of economically attractive products.
Recommend specific and measurable Marketing objectives for product lines in terms of Dollar Sales, Gross Profits, and Market Share.
Continually improve knowledge of size and share of markets into which assigned products can be sold.
Analysis and comparison of competitive performance and landscape in the market.
Lead implementation of new product launches outlined in the new product marketing plan.
Drive continuous improvement in sales, gross margin, and inventory turns.
Create and drive new promotional programs.
Provide support to Electrical, Automotive, Industrial, and Retail Channels, working with National Account Managers.
Responsible for acquiring, updating, and comparison of our product performance vs. competitive performance, and competitive landscaping (pricing, features, applications, and innovation).
Other duties as assigned by management.
Required Experience
Five to ten years product management experience
Experience marketing through distributors
Demonstrated sense of urgency
Results oriented; high energy; self-motivated
Strong electronics accumen

Required Education
Bachelorís Degree in a related field is required

Preferred Qualifications
Experience in product engineering or mechanical engineering
MBA or Masterís Degree in marketing is desired
