The Product Manager will be responsible for developing and executing strategic marketing plans for Rogers Industrial Silicone foams & solids. Our Industrial Silicones - which provide unique sealing, cushioning & energy management properties - are used in a vast array of applications in hybrid electric vehicles, solar & wind energy infrastructure, and enclosures for electronic devices.
The Industrial Product Manager will lead the following efforts:
Global Pricing & Channel Strategy: Network with Global marketing teams to optimize and execute pricing & channel strategies for Industrial Silicone products.
Customer and Sales Support: Serve as key liaison to Sales Engineers, OEM’s, Fabricators and Distributors by developing sales tools, conducting regional training, and providing technical support.
New Product Development: Collaborate with Global marketing, R&D and engineering teams to execute market research and launch plans for new products.
Product Line Profitability: Work with Operations and Finance to ensure that Industrial product lines meet revenue & profitability targets.
Competitive Intelligence: Responsible for developing and maintaining competitive intelligence.
Marketing Communications: Responsible for divisional marketing communications - which will include product advertising, journal publications and trade-show booth design activities.
BS Engineering/Scienceor BS Business/Marketing
5 years industrial product marketing (or combination of product marketing and technical sales experience)
1 year experience in project leadership
Willingness to travel (25%)
MBA with a Marketing and/or Strategy concentration
Experience with similar products or market segments
Experience with qualitative marketing techniques such as customer/market segmentation, GAP and SWOT analysis
Exposure to quantitative market research & pricing techniques such as conjoint analysis and perceptual mapping.
International marketing or engineering experience
