Lasertel produces high-power semiconductor lasers from conception through final packaging. We are small and agile enough to solve customer problems fast, and large enough to retain experienced engineering and staff talent. Lasertel encourages innovation and compliments our unequalled product line with an extraordinary level of personal service. Our 35,000-square-foot MBE-based production facility in Tucson, Arizona, uses state-of-the-art equipment and patented processes to deliver standard and custom laser diode solutions that meet the requirements of demanding applications.
Responsible for all aspects of high power laser diode performance verification. This person will work closely with engineering, product development and production groups to characterize the performance of high power laser diode chips, bars, arrays and higher level assemblies.
?Engineer test methodology, procedures and equipment to characterize high power laser diodes and other related assemblies. Includes designing, developing and maintaining test/burn-in procedures and stations used for production of high power laser diodes.
?Manage and conduct both Product Acceptance Tests (ATP) and Design Verification and Qualification Tests (DVQT) on new and existing products in line with requirements. Includes creating test plans, assembling test equipment, hands-on testing, analyzing results and generating reports.
?Review new product specifications and provide feedback on test methodology and feasibility.
?Develop systems to report test results to engineering and production teams in a clear and precise manner.
?Support Lasertel’s continuous improvement efforts by providing CI ideas and technical expertise.
?Investigate device failures and perform root cause analysis.
?Manage ISO 9000 and AS9100 equipment calibration compliance.
